Yet again- a wonderful relaxing place to stay. We always feel refreshed after staying here. Heard the cuckoo and finally went to St Michael de Rupe  church, only taken four years! We shall be back!

Thank you once again for another perfect holiday. We had a fabulous week at The Smithy. The weather was kind, in fact glorious by the end of our stay. Thank you for inviting us to your 'tea and cake' in the garden, a wonderful afternoon.This is a real gem of a holiday cottage and you are such perfect hosts.

What a find! Wonderfully well equipped cottage in a fantastic location. Weather was variable, but enjoyable walks to Lydford Gorge, St. Michael's church and Wheal Betsy. Fantastic to be so close to the moors. Very comfortable place to stay. hugely recommended.

A warm and cosy November stay at tthe Smithy which was enjoyed by us and our dog. Excellent facilities with everything carefully considered. Well located for walking on Dartmoor. Thank you Sally for a lovely relaxing week. The cream tea was delicious. We visited so many lovely places and of course with the help of Sally found lovely country pubs & delicious food. This was a last minute break for us and our little dog.

Lovely quiet base! From the welcoming cream tea the place felt like home. Sally there if you needed any information on the area, and giving you the freedom of her garden and wood. We spent the week, relaxing, walking the moors and reading. Did go to Tavistock when weather was a bit iffy, Also did Lydford NT. Lovely walk between waterfall and Cauldron. Glad we found The Smithy.

Thank you Sally and Christopher for another perfect week in your lovely cottage. Harry (the dog) has had so much fun in the field and walking on the moors and then to be able to relax in the afternoons in your beautiful garden is so nice. Hope to see you next year.

A lovely warm and sunny week with a short shower to freshen. We have had a wonderful holiday walking (stone rows at Merrivale, up to the top of St Michael's and down to see the Waterfall at Lydford Gorge. Excellent eating (Castle Inn Lydford and Peter Tavy). and meeting up with friends and relatives. Thank you Sally and Christopher for everything.

Thank you Sally and Christopher for a lovely stay in your cottage. Everything is just perfect here. Enjoyed all my trips out to Cotehele and Buckland Abbey, Dartmoor, loved the ponies. Lydford and Widemouth Bay. Fabulous.
