Sally and Christopher have been offering self catering holiday accommodation
on Dartmoor and in the South Hams for a number of years. They look forward
to personally welcoming new and returning holiday guests and they also
extend a warm welcome to your family pets. Being dog lovers themselves,
Sam usually accompanies them on their own holidays!

Tucked away on the edge of Dartmoor, on a quiet lane, leading directly
on to open moorland, this detached, self catering holiday cottage
is an ideal romantic hideaway. Rest and relax, enjoy walks from the
door, an opportunity for star gazing, bird watching, cycling, (Route
27 runs along the valley) or to simply sit and enjoy our extensive
garden and woodland, marvelling at the magnificent views towards
the northern moor. 15 minutes from the Edwardian Farm at Morwellham Quay. Make use of our outdoor kitchen, to prepare meals
al fresco!
"We have had a really lovely time, this was
a great retreat. Very peaceful and the Smithy was first class in
all respects. " Ms L. Taunton Aug 2010
Lower Tor Cot, self catering holiday cottage
(Sleeps 2 - 5)
- Situated in The South Hams / Torbay / Totnes area
- Easy access to coast, and countryside
- 2 excellent pubs, village shop, post office and garage
- Commanding position, edge of village
- Short breaks available
- 2 pets welcome
- Small garden and two patios
- Newspapers, groceries and meals by arrangement
Why not enjoy a holiday, which combines all the amenities of a thriving
village with the advantage of easy access to the sandy beaches in
Torbay or enjoy exploring Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes with
their individual shops and eating places. Guests are able to enjoy
a fabulous network of footpaths from the door. (The John Musgrave
Trail and Torbay/Totnes Trail pass in front of our cottage) Cockington
Country Park and Occombe Farm, a superb deli and restaurant are within
easy reach. Stunning views towards Dartmoor are enjoyed from the
patios. Our lane is very narrow and steep so there is only limited
access for cars, so sadly, we cannot recommend it to infirm guests.
"A lovely little cottage in a very secluded
location. Once you have navigated the steep hill(!), it's a cosy
hideaway and there are some lovely walks and scenery on the doorstep.
Cosy, quiet and well appointed. We'd definitely return!." Mr
C. Carlisle Jan 2011
